About SEDDA
Independent assurance, built on decades of security and testing practice.
SEDDA is a UK cyber security testing and assurance business. Our founders have spent their careers in assurance, security and critical national infrastructure, and we are extending that practice into independent technology and AI assurance for organisations that need evidence they can stand behind.
Principles
Human-owned decisions. Evidence you can trace. Depth matched to consequence.
Independent challenge
We assess without a product, platform or supplier to defend.
Human-owned accountability
AI can investigate, compare and challenge. Authorised people retain approval and accountability, on our side and yours.
Vendor and model neutrality
Assurance is not tied to one model, cloud platform or supplier.
Evidence and traceability
Findings, assumptions and dissent are recorded, not buried in a chat history.
Continuous reassessment
Evidence is revisited when systems, models and risks change.
Proportionate methods
Low-risk work should not carry the friction of material security, legal or operational decisions.

How we work
Direct, or alongside your delivery partners.
SEDDA works directly with organisations and as a specialist member of wider delivery teams. We can take a defined work package, run an independent assurance workstream or add depth to a programme without competing with the prime or delivery partner.
Ways of working
- Direct customer engagement
- Prime and consultancy partner support
- Specialist work packages
- Independent assurance workstream
- Targeted capability augmentation
- Evidence-led bid and delivery support
Who we work with
- Government departments and agencies
- Critical national infrastructure operators
- Regulated private-sector organisations
- Enterprise technology and transformation programmes
- Consultancies, primes and systems integrators

Human and AI capability
We say which is which.
SEDDA does not present AI agents as human employees. Engagements combine accountable human leads, human specialists and delivery partners. We are also developing Northcroft Board, a governed AI-enabled specialist capability intended to broaden the disciplines we can bring to assurance work and to speed up analysis. It is in development and we describe it as such. When it is used, human leadership, authority and judgement remain central.
Capability sources
- SEDDA practitioners
- Approved specialist partners
- Customer and partner delivery teams
- Independent subject-matter challenge
- Northcroft Board, our AI-enabled specialist capability (in development)

Start with the decision you need to make. We will help identify the assurance and specialist roles required and build a proportionate team around it.
